Meet Megan Edmonds

I am the owner and photographer behind Megan Edmonds Photography, with over eight years of professional experience photographing families throughout New England. Prior to photography, I was the owner and artistic director of one of the largest dance studios in the New England area. After selling my studio to spend more time with my growing family, I transitioned fully into photography—allowing me to continue expressing my creativity while working closely with people in meaningful ways.

I am deeply committed to providing an exceptional experience from start to finish. Creating an environment where clients feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely cared for is at the heart of my work. Every gallery I deliver reflects the same level of quality, intention, and artistry I would expect for my own family—timeless imagery designed to be treasured for years to come.

I truly love working with people and am especially skilled with children, bringing patience, warmth, and ease to every session. I live in Maine with my husband and two daughters and continue to teach dance as a guest instructor throughout New England. My extensive background in dance and the performing arts gives me a refined eye for movement, composition, and detail, allowing me to create original, artful poses while guiding clients seamlessly through the entire process.

My photographic style is bright, clean, colorful, and creative, with an emphasis on natural, true-to-life tones. I believe editing is just as important as the moment the shutter clicks, and I take great care in crafting images that feel polished yet authentic.

I thrive in both high-energy, fast-paced environments and quiet, intimate settings. Whether photographing large-scale events or smaller, meaningful gatherings, I bring calm confidence, adaptability, and artistic precision to every situation.
